This feature is exclusively available in our PRO plan.
On the Playlist Detail Page, you can create or edit playlists based on your audio library. Here, you define scheduling functions (Clocks), planning settings, playout behavior, and user access levels. You can also modify metadata.
Open this page in the Dashboard: Dashboard > Audio > Playlists
Click on playlist item
1. Metadata
Name (required): The main name of the playlist.
Subtitle: A tagline or slogan for the playlist.
Tags: Limit to 3 relevant tags to avoid redundancy.
2. Cover Pictures
Upload two cover images: 1200x1200 and 1200x678 pixels. Use drag-and-drop or click to open your local directory. Ensure images follow our guidelines to avoid overlaying sensitive information. Refer to Design Briefing for Cover Creation
3. Clocks
Adding Clocks: Assign one or more Clocks to the playlist. Adjust the order as needed.
Scheduling Behavior: Tracks are categorized and organized in Clocks. Each Clock represents a sequence of categories. The scheduler plans one song per category in the order of Clocks until 24 hours are filled. If multiple Clocks are used, the algorithm cycles through them before repeating.
Example: Clock 1 with categories A, B, C and Clock 2 with X, Y will schedule songs as A, B, C, X, Y, A, B, C, X, Y, etc., ensuring minimal repetition.
4. Sponsor
Logo: Use a horizontally elongated logo for best results. Refer to our design tips.
Link: Optional. Add a link associated with the sponsor’s logo.
Sponsor Tag: Optional. Add a message like "Sponsored by" around the sponsor's logo.
5. Publishing
Status Display: View the current status of your playlist (e.g., planning in progress).
Plan Playlist: Execute this action after setting and saving Clocks. The playlist will be planned according to the Clocks, replacing existing plans. Changes are not visible on user platforms until published.
Publish Playlist: Push changes to make them visible to the public, provided the playlist has been planned.
Pre-Roll Checkbox: "Enable pre-rolls from external audio ad server" when the playlist starts. Ensure proper setup with your ad server before activation.
Auto-Generate: Enable this checkbox for automatic playlist planning and publishing every 24 hours.
Crossfade: Enable this checkbox for seamless song transitions. Ensure cue points are set in your tracks for optimal results. More on cue points.
Show in Search: Select to include the playlist in search results on user platforms.
Sponsored Content: Check this box if the playlist is sponsored content.
User Access Levels
Minimum User Type: Define User Access Levels:
Guest Users: Accessible to all users.
Registered Users: Accessible to all registered and premium users.
Premium Users: Accessible only to premium users.
URL Slug: Enter a custom slug for your website related to the playlist (e.g., top-10-hits).
Available in Mixer: If your app supports user-generated playlists, select which apps can access this playlist for mixing.
