Push Notifications let you send targeted or general messages directly to users of your app. Whether it's breaking news, promotional content, or audience-specific updates, you can send messages immediately or schedule them in advance. Notifications can also trigger in-app actions when clicked.
Open this page in the Dashboard: Dashboard > Activation > Push Notifications
1. Content
App: Select the app where the notification should be sent.
Schedule Time: Optional. Set a date and time if the message should be sent later. Leave empty to send immediately.
Title: Add a short headline for the notification.
Message: Provide the main body text of your notification.
Device-dependent display: Notification previews vary by device and OS. Some users may only see part of the message. Refer to Push Notification Display Guidelines for more info.
2. Special Actions (Optional)
Define what happens when a user taps on the notification.
No Action (default): Opens the app and lands on the Home Screen.
Open Playlist (PRO Plan only): Select a playlist from the dropdown.
Open Podcast: Choose a podcast and optionally a specific episode.
Open Livestream: Select a livestream to open.
Open Article: Enter at least three letters of the article title to select it.
Open Link: Provide a full URL starting with
https://.Open PDF: Select a PDF (only available if PDF support is enabled).
3. Audiences Filter
Audience: Choose an existing audience to target specific users.
Add New Audience: Click “Add New Audience” to create a new one in a new browser tab.
Refresh Audiences: Return to the Push Notifications tab and click this button to load the newly created audience without losing your settings.
4. Send Push Notfication
Click Send Push Notification.
If a Schedule Time was set, the message is saved under Scheduled Notifications.
If no time was set, the message is sent immediately.
5. Managing Scheduled Notifications
View all scheduled messages under Scheduled Notifications.
Click the + icon to expand details (title, message, audience).
Use the X icon to delete a scheduled notification.
Editing scheduled messages is not possible - delete and recreate them if changes are needed.
6. Export Notifications
Export all sent messages as a .CSV file.
Tip: Use Google Chrome for direct downloads. Safari may not support one-click downloads.
