Call-to-Action Preparations - Sections and Contests

Call-to-Actions (CTAs) can be integrated in two distinct ways:

  1. As a visual element on app screens via a Section

  2. As interactive contests via the Campaigns module

Each serves different purposes and user flows: Sections provide static in-app presence, while Contests allow for timed participation.

Call-to-Action as a Section

To display a CTA on a screen in your app (Main or Detail), you must first create a dedicated Section.

  1. Go to the App Editor and select Main Screens or Detail Screens

  2. In the Section List, click + Add Section.

  3. Set the Section Type to Call-To-Actions.

  4. Assign a clear Internal Note. We recommend using a structure like:
App Name – Screen Name – CTA Title

  5. Choose a background color.

    • Default is your app’s key color.

    • Ensure contrast:

      • Light Theme = black font

      • Dark Theme = white font

  6. Drag & drop the CTA Section onto the desired screen in the Mobile Mockup.

    • Note: It won’t appear in the app until a CTA is actively assigned to it.

Tip: For better organization, define a clear naming strategy for all your Sections. Go to Sections Management for more information.

2. Call-to-Action as a Contest

You can also add a CTA to a contest campaign, combining participation with voting or questions.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Campaigns > Contests

  2. Click + Add Contest and give it a name.

  3. Define the participation period.

  4. Choose if phone number and/or address should be required.

  5. Save and reopen the contest.

  6. Go to the "Questions" tab (third tab).

    • Define key color styling for the contest popup.

    • Default is your app’s key color.

    • Ensure contrast:

      • Light Theme = black font

      • Dark Theme = white font.

  7. Save again and close the contest setup.
