Articles

This section allows you to create and edit articles, import them from RSS feeds, and link or categorize them with Contests.

Open this page in the Dashboard: Dashboard > Editorial > Articles


Articles Search Page

1. Adding a New Article

To add a new article, you'll need at least one cover image in either 1200x1200 or 1200x678 pixels.

2. Search and Filter

  • Search: Use the search bar to find articles by title for editing.

  • Filter: Sort articles by type:

    • New Editor: Created using the Dashboard Editor.

    • HTML: Imported via RSS feeds.

    • Markdown: Previously used, still accessible for legacy users.

3. Editing Articles

  • Edit: Click on an article item to modify it. For HTML articles, you can only edit the title, subtitle, tags, cover, and publishing details. Text edits must be made at the original source.

  • Delete: Select multiple articles and choose "Remove Articles" from the dropdown, or delete individual articles by clicking "X."

Article Detail Page

1. Description

  • Title: Enter the headline of your article.

  • Subtitle: Add a subtitle or lead text (this will be truncated in previews).

  • Tags: Assign up to three tags for better categorization.

2. Content

  • Content Editor: Use the toolbar to format your text as you write. The editor expands as you add more content.

  • Toolbar Functions:


    Ordered left to right as shown.

    • Bold Font

    • Italic

    • Underline

    • Heading 1

    • Heading 2

    • Quote

    • Numbered List

    • Bulleted List

    • Add Text Link

    • Remove Text Link

    • Embed Code: For videos, social posts, etc.
      Choose between

      • “Styled – Optimized for YouTube, social posts, embedded players, etc.” and

      • “Custom – Uses embed-defined proportions across platforms.”


        Unless you have specific design requirements, we generally recommend selecting Styled for the best compatibility and presentation across platforms.

    • Add Image or Slideshow: Click on the picture icon to open the popup.
      Drag & drop an image or click to browse. Optionally add a title or link. For slideshows, use "Add more pictures to enable carousel slider." Note: Carousel slider images cannot be linked.

  • Article Text Field: Provide your article full text here. Highlight text to apply formatting. Click in between the text paragraphs to insert pictures or embeddings and select the corresponding toolbar function. Embedded content, images or slideshows can be edited or deleted by hovering over them.

3. Cover

Drag & drop a cover image onto the designated area or click to upload from your computer.

4. Article Settings

  • Publishing Time: Set the date and time for when the article should appear on user platforms. If not specified, the article will be visible immediately upon publishing.

  • Removal Time: Set the date and time for when the article should be removed from user platforms. If not specified, the article remains visible until manually removed.

  • Show at Top: Use this feature to highlight an article at the top of a Custom Tab, regardless of the publishing time. This is available only if your user platforms have a Custom News Tab.

  • Content Categories: Optionally assign content categories to the article for automatic placement in sections where the category is used. More information on content categories can be found here: Go to Content Categories

  • Minimum User Type: Define the access level required for users:

    • Guest Users: Accessible to all users.

    • Registered Users: Accessible to registered and premium users.

    • Premium Users: Accessible only to premium users (if applicable).

  • Contest: Add a participation button to turn the article into a contest. Ensure you have set up a contest first. More details on contests can be found here: Go to Contest Setup

  • Sponsored content: Check this box if the article is sponsored content.
