Design Briefing for Cover Creation

Updated

This guide provides everything you need to know when designing cover images for content on the platform.

Unified Visual Style

Covers are the first visual touchpoint for your content. A strong cover increases engagement and communicates professionalism. Follow these key principles to ensure your visuals look sharp and platform-ready. Maintain a unified visual style across your platform.

🎯 Center the Focus

  • Keep the main subject or element centered—whether it’s a face, logo, or object.

  • Avoid placing important elements near the edges; they may be covered by overlays or cut off on certain screens.

  • Clean typogLittle to no text.

🧘‍♂️ Keep Backgrounds Calm

  • Use clean, quiet backgrounds that don’t distract from the subject.

  • Avoid busy patterns, hard shadows, or overly textured surfaces.

  • Soft gradients, subtle color fields, or slight blur effects work well.

⚠️ Watch Out for Overlay Zones

App interfaces often place UI elements over images. These may include:

  • Live badges

  • Offline indicators

  • Access level icons (e.g. Premium, Guest)

  • Sponsor overlays

  • Mobile hardware elements (e.g. speaker cutouts, notches)

Standard Sizes
